CONTENT - This map provides medium scale coverage of the Caledonian, Forth & Clyde, Union and Crinan Canals. It also includes an overview map which shows the geographical relationship of the Scottish canals and disused waterways.
DETAILS - The detailed mapping is supported by useful notes on dimensions, navigation, contacts and facilities. Jane Cumberlidge has also written a more general narrative on the three main waterways. This provides background information and is a guide to places to visit and see along each canal.
Side 1 contains the general narrative, the waterways of Scotland map (scale ¾" to 10 miles approx) and the Crinan Canal map (scale 1½" to 1 mile approx). Side 2 contains the map for the Caledonian Canal (scale 1½" to 1 mile approx) with exploded views of Corpach, Banavie, Gairlochy and Clachnaharry, and the map for the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals (scale 1½" to 1 mile approx) with exploded views of Grangemouth and Bowling.
Size 6½" x 9" approx and 35" x 25" approx when opened out.
